Appearance & Grooming
The Collie is a medium-sized dog with a muscular body. The breed can have either long, straight double coat (rough) or short, dense double coat (smooth) in black, white, tan, blue, sable, and merle. The Collie sheds seasonally and requires brushing three times per week when shedding.
Behavior & Disposition
The Collie is sociable, obedient, intelligent, and loyal. They tend to play well with younger children. However, adult supervision is recommended when playing with puppies and other dogs.
Activity Level
The Collie has a moderate activity level. A meat-based diet is usually appropriate, and it is recommended to feed the Collie small meals multiple times a day.
Training
